excellent story and from what i hear, very representative of the society in Pakistan these days. I've been in canada for the last 11 years and its been a while since i spent Ramadan in Pakistan but i've heard that recently, not fasting has become a fad within certain social circles in Pakistan. Times like these, I am thankful that I was born into a family that knows the importance of fasting and live in a country that may be non-muslim but where the spirit of Islam is visible when you go to the masjid for tahajjud and the masjid is full. May Allah grant everyone the wisdom to know how blessed this month truly is and what they're missing out on by not taking advantage of it.
